The client needed a platform where sellers and buyers could work in a single window: catalog, orders, delivery, paid services, and promotions. The challenge wasn't the storefront, but the underlying mechanics—document flow, agency settlements, and accounting had to be automated and handle increased workloads without rewriting the system.

We built a full-cycle marketplace using an event-driven microservice architecture. The frontend is built on Next.js, the backend is built on Django, with interservice communication via Kafka, background tasks in Celery, data in PostgreSQL and Redis, and files and documents in S3. We implemented three roles—seller, manager, and client—each with their own scenarios, built-in document flow (6+ document types), and automated agency settlements.

We launched a platform that covers the entire transaction process within a single product—from the product page to delivery, payment, and closing documents. The event-driven architecture allows for the addition of new services and payment types without downtime, and integrated accounting eliminates the need for manual reconciliation.
